Shannon started cycling 6 years ago after being encouraged by spinning friends to join team in training. It only took 3 months of training and a century ride later. and she was hooked. Shannon has since completed several centuries and charity rides, and trained for local races. A former competitive swimmer she has always been involved in physical activity and enjoyed being part of a team. When she joined Gazella in 2013, she knew she had found her niche’. Her combined enthusiasm for teaching and cycling made for a perfect combo and she acquired her Spinning Instructor Certification. She loves the creativity of putting spinning profiles together and sharing her passion for physical fitness. Shannon finds it rewarding to support other athletes grow both physically and mentally strong, encouraging them to become the best they can be. Shannon is also an art teacher for the Marcellus Central School District. When she is not teaching or cycling she enjoys spending time with her family boating on Skaneateles Lake along with cheering on her son’s football and basketball games and her daughter’s swim meets.
