Introduction to Personal Training

Small Group Training/Custom Classes

Functional Movement Screen (“FMS”)
The FMS is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function. By screening these patterns, the FMS readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. The screen consists of seven movement patterns: hurdle step, incline lunge, shoulder mobility, active straight-leg raise, trunk stability pushup and rotary stability. Each exercise is scored as 0, 1, 2 or 3. The scores are then looked at to determine dysfunction and asymmetry issues. These scores, in turn, are used to determine corrective exercises with the goal of increasing mobility and stability. Sessions are conducted by Reem Jishi. Session Cost: $70
This 45 minute assessment includes Body Composition measurement with a Skin Fold Caliper (7 site), a 3 minute Step Test that measures your cardio-vascular fitness level based on how quickly your heart rate returns to normal after exercise, and a Flexibility Evaluation of lower back and hamstrings. Sessions are conducted by Maggie Thomson. Session Cost: $60
